Gidhi Daha, lakes to explore

Gidhi daha lake is one among many lakes to explore that existed in Jumla. There are many lakes and sacred lakes in Jumla some are Sankha Daha, Thakurgyu, Bistajyu etc. Every year people from Jumla and Jajarkot visit these sacred lakes during Janai Purnima. Altitude, depth and width of all lakes in Jumla were not yet measured. There has not been done any research of how importance these lakes for people wild animal, water lives, migrating birds and their importance. This forest and meadow's home of many herbs like Yarsagumba, Paanch Aaunley,Wild garlic,White Sugar as well as for wild animals like Red Panda, Himalayan Black Bear, Musk Deer and many more. One can reach to all these lakes on organised camping trek from Jumla Bazaar in a week.
