Rayapurwa Temple lies in Ghodegaun, Tila-6, Jumla, reached after a uphill hike from Nagma Bazaar. Every year on the full moon of Poush, hundreds of devotees visit this sacred site. On this day, hundreds of goats are sacrificed. Devotees eat only puri and vegetables throughout the night—rice and lentils are not allowed. Each family cooks separately, using their own hearth.
